Frankincense has been traded from southern Oman for thousands of years. At Fortune Modern we work with Omani Boswellia sacra resin from Dhofar, Salalah, and use it to supply resin and manufacture frankincense essential oil for business customers.
From tree to essential oil
The resin forms where the bark of the Boswellia sacra tree is carefully cut. Over the following weeks it hardens into tears, which are collected, sorted by grade and then either supplied as raw material or processed into essential oil.
